Beginning Painting

An introduction to the basic materials and techniques used in painting; as well as an introduction to the visual elements of 2-D composition, color theory, and paint handling. Learn to prepare a variety of supports, and explore the different techniques and properties of acrylic and oil paints through projects in still life, landscape, and figure painting.
