Return to: Artists! » Emerging Artist Fund and Scholarships
The Harwood Art Center maintains and administers the Harwood Emerging Artist Fund in support of up and coming talent in our community. There are currently three grants made during the course of the year: the Reggie Gammon Memorial Award, the Marion and Kathryn Crissey Award, and the Madonna Daniel Award.
We are aware that emerging artist is a vague term. Generally, we suggest that artists with gallery representation, or those who receive a significant portion of their income from their art endeavors, are not considered to be emerging. Usually, artists know if they are on the professional end of the spectrum and are "beyond" our awards. If in doubt, please give us a call, or download and read this page of frequently asked questions.
A limited number of scholarships are available for the Harwood Summer ArtCamp. We currently have two awards: The Jon Schneck Award and the newly created Buffalo Exchange Award. Applicants are advised to call early in March for information on the application process.
Harwood also offers a limited number of scholarships each quarter for classes offered through the Art School. More information is available at 242-6367.
