Introduction to Sculpture/3D Design
Kris Mills
Explore art in the 3rd dimension in three ways that exploit traditional, immediate or eccentric ways to build. These classes touch on the basics of 3D work, which are adding, subtracting, creating a large whole from small components and substitution or casting. Offered as three, 4-week courses, students may choose any one course, or take them all. Course 1: Traditional methods of figure study with armature; Course 2: Assemblage or found object sculpture; Course 3: Soft and recycled material use in sculpture.
