1. Ghost Houses
Cynthia Brinich-Langlois

Small houses built from leftover building materials stand outside for months. Their roofs acquire evidence of the weather and environmental conditions, creating a record of these events etched into the roof's surface. The houses come apart and become new houses, and their roofs become printmaking plates. The textures collected from months of weathering create a background of the experiences of each house. Photographs of the structures with representations of whatever interacted with them complete the picture. These intricate images encompass the idea of the house as one small part of an elaborate, living system. Four printed curtains hang together to evoke the space that the house once occupied.

2. New Works by Teens
From the Drawing and Painting Intensive Class with Leo Neufeld

The Drawing and Painting Intensive Class is focused on working with teens in the tradition of the Masters: mentor and apprentice in the studio. Drawing the figure is the basis for art studies and this class provides students the opportunity for guided work with the model. Critiques and portfolio development are part of the curriculum. Join us to view the work of the next generation. The class and exhibition are made possible through generous funding from the Urban Enhancement Trust Fund.

3. Transformations of the Cross: From Sacred to Secular
Monique Paques

I am drawn to the beauty and symbology of the cross. I attempt to juxtapose these elements in my art. By taking found objects, jewelry or housewares, and incorporating them into something traditionally held as sacred, I hope to make the iconoclastic secular. Anyone can regard these as decorative, but they also contain metaphor.
