Michelle Chrisman is a graduate of The School of Visual Arts and Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She also studied drawing and painting at the New York Art Student's League. Shortly after moving to New Mexico, Michelle studied landscape painting with Kevin MacPherson and Ray Vinella in Taos and has since been a plein air painter for 15 years. Michelle is a contemporary colorist and New Mexico Modernist. Michelle was recently featured in the current October 2006 issue of Southwest Art Magazine under the Artists to Watch section. Michelle currently is represented by Jezebel Gallery in Santa Fe, Wilder Nightingale Gallery in Taos, Shiprock Trading Company, Old Town and Casa de Artistas Fine Art in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Earnest Fuller Fine Art, Denver, Colorado.
