Harwood

The Harwood is a creative center for community and the arts. Participating at a grassroots level, we work to build a sustainable and more vibrant local, statewide and regional community by using the arts as a catalyst for personal empowerment, cultural enrichment, and as a vehicle for social change.

At Harwood we believe that equitable access to the arts is an integral part of a vibrant community, and our programs manifest this belief. Programming at Harwood encompasses four main areas: arts education; community development and the arts; the literary arts; and arts services (including studio, gallery, performance and classroom rentals).

Events and classes take place in our main building at the corner of Seventh Street and Mountain Road, at our art studio at the corner of Sixth Street and Mountain Road, and at many and varied locations around the neighborhood, city and state.
