Old School Books was established in 2005 as the publishing entity of the Harwood Art Center. Providing opportunities for local and regional poets to be read, our books are perfect bound, attractive and offer a community minded approach to publishing. Our first title, The Harwood Anthology, is still available through Harwood, or Bookworks bookstore in the Dietz Plaza shopping center. In the spring of 2008 we published our second book, "Looking Back to Place,"a collection of oral histories and poetry on the theme of place. Editor Susan McAllister writes, "This book then, is a map, each pushpin making someone's sense of resonance and tying it to a place." Be sure to pick up a copy the next time you come to The Harwood.
