Relief Printmaking

Relief Printmaking is one of the oldest and most basic print processes. The image is printed from a raised surface from which the non-image areas have been cut away. This six-week class will cover all methods of relief printmaking including: wood cut, linocut, solar-plate, multi plate and reductive printing. Each class will start with a demonstration and students will have ample time to work during each session. There is a strong emphasis on experimentation and no previous printmaking is necessary. A materials fee of $40 should be paid directly to Carol at the first class meeting.
