The Human Figure: Drawing From the Model

This is a figure drawing class based on the timeless tradition of drawing from life. Beginning with gesture drawings and progressing to a three hour pose, students will learn to challenge their assumptions and become their own best critic. We will use charcoal as our medium. The lessons and skills we learn will affect other realms of art and inform future study in the life long endeavor of drawing from life.

Date: Wednesdays, May 20th – July 8th
Time: 6 pm – 9 pm
Skill Level: designed for beginners, but all levels welcome
Tuition: $150 for Harwood members, $160 for non-members
Fees: Model fee of $25/student
Materials: a materials list will be mailed upon registration
