Challenge yourself to think differently about how to express the landscape in pastels. Come to class with an adventurous attitude, be willing to explore and try things.
We’ll be investigating gentle abstractions of the landscape, utilizing expressive color, line and gestures, while adhering to the general conventions of landscape painting. Issues such as color and value, composition, and how to do an effective and interesting under-painting will all be addressed.
